Associated Cemeteries of Missouri was founded in 1958 to promote sound rules and practices in cemetery management. It has been deeply involved over the years in developing the statutory law that regulates cemeteries in Missouri, particularly "endowed care" cemeteries, to secure endowed care of cemetery graves and grounds.
